Frisco Wakeland impressively swept Frisco Reedy to open District 9-5A play last week. It seems the rest of the state took notice.
Wakeland (13-6) was ranked ninth in 5A in the latest Texas High School Baseball Coach's Association's polls a week after the Wolverines weren't ranked. Frisco Lone Star (16-3), after splitting with Centennial last week, dropped out of the rankings.
