Waxahachie beats Highland Park
Bryce Salik threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Oklahoma pledge Jalen Reagor with 19 seconds left as No. 7 Waxahachie beat No. 2 Highland Park 40-37 in a matchup of area-ranked 5A teams. Salik passed for 320 yards and four touchdowns, and Reagor had eight catches for 205 yards and three TDs.

Euless Trinity shocks Spring Westfield
Lloyd Hill Jr. caught a 10-yard TD pass from Malini Maile with 44 seconds left to lift Euless Trinity to a 28-27 win over Spring Westfield. Trinity, No. 10 in the state, trailed 20-0 after one quarter and 27-15 entering the fourth. Receiver Noah Wineteer's 43-yard pass to Corde Burns set up the winning TD.
BEATING HIS FORMER TEAM
Shawn Robinson, DeSoto
The TCU pledge, a former Denton Guyer quarterback, threw for two touchdowns and ran for 94 yards and a score to lead No. 1 DeSoto to a 51-17 victory against No. 5 Guyer in a clash of area-ranked 6A powers. KD Nixon had a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown for DeSoto.
SURVIVING UPSETS
Argyle and Frisco Lone Star
Hayden Clearman scored on a 31-yard run with 1:05 remaining to give Argyle -- the state's top-ranked 4A team -- a 14-8 win over La Grange.
Frisco Lone Star, No. 6 in the state in 5A, got four field goals from Jacob Click and Tanner Leser's fumble recovery TD and beat Mansfield Timberview 20-14.
SURPRISES
Arlington Lamar, Southlake Carroll
Chance Fuller's four TD passes led Arlington Lamar to a 37-7 rout of South Grand Prairie, the area's eighth-ranked 6A team. ... DB Robert Barnes played receiver and had six catches for 153 yards as No. 9 Southlake Carroll beat No. 6 Arlington Martin 37-14 in a clash of area-ranked 6A teams.
